THE WORLD’S LEADING conference on how to find happiness is being held in Sydney in June.
Featuring international experts on the tools and techniques for a happier life — including His Holiness the Dalai Lama — Happiness & Its Causes will see around 2000 delegates converge in Australia’s harbour city on June 10 and 11, 2015.
Other speakers — there’ll be 40 in all — will include the New York Times best-selling author of The Happiness Project, Gretchen Rubin; the ‘Indiana Jones of positive psychology’ Robert Biswas-Diener; international mindfulness guru Rasmus Hougaard and British comedian Ruby Wax.
Workshops, dialogues and sessions over the course of the forum will cover subjects as diverse as strategies for “overcoming multitasking and working smarter rather than harder” to “lessons from popular culture on how to be happier”. There’ll be discussion on the ‘happiness myths’ that could be making us unhappy to a dialogue on whether “anger can be a force for good and sometimes have a positive effect on our lives?”
I’ll be attending as a delegate and will post on some of the most interesting sessions.
